Born in rural South Africa and growing up in Cornwall, wild landscapes formed a part of my earliest experiences and continue to be where I feel most at home.
I spent my twenties pursuing a passion for climbing and skiing, living nomadically in a campervan and working seasonally in the industrial rope access industry.
Somewhere along that journey, I got involved with a feature-length documentary, Magnetic Mountains, when a friend survived a near-fatal fall in the Alps - and decided to make a film about it.
The storytelling process sparked something that climbing and skiing alone couldn't quite satisfy and inspired me to develop my own camera skills.
Today, the inspiration for my creative work is the same as what lead me devote so much time and energy to the mountains: remote landscapes, and the adventures and wild encounters to be found within them.
